How to Delete Your Account

  1. Open Zews on your iPhone
  2. Tap the Account tab (bottom right)
  3. Scroll to the Account section
  4. Tap "Delete Account"
  5. Confirm in the popup

This permanently removes your profile, all saved articles, your subscription record, and your Apple Sign-In link from our servers within 24 hours. This action cannot be undone. If you also want to revoke Apple's tracking of Zews, go to iPhone Settings → your Apple ID → Sign in with Apple → Zews → Stop Using Apple ID.

How to Cancel Your Subscription

Zews Pro subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID, not directly by us. To cancel:

  1. Open iPhone Settings
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap "Subscriptions"
  4. Tap "Zews"
  5. Tap "Cancel Subscription"

Note: You'll keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period. No refunds for partial periods.

1. WHO WE ARE

Zews is operated by Surya Uthkarsha. Contact: zewsapp@gmail.com.

2. DATA WE COLLECT

  • a) Account data — When you Sign in with Apple, we receive a unique Apple user identifier and (only if you choose to share) your name and email, which may be Apple's private relay address. We never see your Apple password.
  • b) App activity — Categories you select, articles you save, and swipe counts, stored to personalize your feed. Stored locally on device and synced to Supabase tied to your account ID.
  • c) Purchase data — If you subscribe, RevenueCat and Apple process the transaction. We receive an anonymous transaction ID and subscription status. We never see your payment details.
  • d) Diagnostics — Anonymous crash logs via Apple, only if you opted in via iOS Settings → Privacy → Analytics.

3. WHAT WE DO NOT COLLECT

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, advertising identifier (IDFA), or browsing history. We do not use third-party trackers or ad networks.

4. HOW WE USE DATA

Solely to operate the app: authenticate you, sync saved articles, manage your subscription, and respond to support emails.

5. THIRD PARTIES

  • Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store payments)
  • Supabase (encrypted database hosting in the EU)
  • RevenueCat (subscription management)

None of these parties sell your data.

6. DATA RETENTION

Account data is kept until you delete your account. Deletion is permanent and processed within 24 hours.

7. YOUR RIGHTS (GDPR / CCPA)

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. Use the in-app Delete Account button, or email zewsapp@gmail.com.

8. CHILDREN

Zews is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. CHANGES

We'll update this page and the "Last updated" date if anything changes.

By using Zews you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

2. THE SERVICE

Zews is a news-discovery app that aggregates public RSS feeds from Firstpost. We do not own, host, or endorse the underlying articles. All article content belongs to its original publisher.

3. ACCOUNTS

You must Sign in with Apple to use the app. You are responsible for activity under your account.

4. SUBSCRIPTIONS

Zews Pro is an auto-renewing subscription billed by Apple. Pricing is shown in-app before purchase. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage or cancel via iPhone Settings → Subscriptions.

5. ACCEPTABLE USE

Don't reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service. Don't use it to break any law.

6. CONTENT DISCLAIMER

Articles are provided by third parties. We make no warranty about accuracy, completeness, or availability of any article or feed.

7. TERMINATION

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You can delete your account anytime in-app.

8. LIABILITY

Zews is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

9. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, Karnataka.
